World Water for Youth , Armenia, April 7 (6th session day)

"World Water for Youth" is a youth exchange organized by Serund Pan-Armenian Youth Center". The project objective is to focus attention of young people on importance of freshwater resources and their preservation. Then sessions and workshops will take place  in  Armenia.

Our next day of the project was a little different and special. April 7 is being celebrated as the day of Mothers and Beauty in Armenia. Of course we couldn’t forget to celebrate this occasion. The day started with warm words and presents. But, as always, the day was also full of work, as we had to prepare for the visit of the delegation of Armenian Water and Sewerage CJSC. It was supposed to be a very interesting meeting, and the results were even more surprising. The members of the delegation were Arnaud Bioley, Operational and Technical Supervisor and  Hasmik Harutyunyan, Public Relations/Communication manager.

During the conference we learnt a lot of interesting issues about water circulation, ancient pipes and the traditional methods of saving water in ancient Armenia. An outstanding presentation was provided to our participants. After this important meeting, we went to have lunch, which was again very tasty.

As I have already told, the day was full of important information and interesting presentations, so there was another interesting conference with the representative of the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia  Armen Andreasyan ( head of  Pan-Armenian Programs department). The issues that were discussed during this meeting were interesting for all who were presented.

During the meeting we spoke about new projects concerning the Armenian youth in the whole world, about the national identity, and of course, the global problems that we face every day. We really think that this meeting will have an important role in Serund  PYC’s programs. Finally, the day had come to its happy end, after so much working; we spent a great time.

Project realized  with the support of the Youth in Action programme of the European Union
