Rights Love and Rockn roll - Moldova, 8-16.06.2014

In June 8-16 of 2014 there was a training course about ‘’ Rights, Love and Rock’n roll” which took place in Moldova, Chisinau. There were 30 participants from 10 countries all over the world.
Serund Pan-Armenian Youth Center was the partner from Armenia.
The first day of training course was full with a number of non formal team building games, ice breakers and name games. The group was offered an insight into what will happen for the rest of the week during the scheduled activities and workshops as well as being given a brief insight into what is the concept of human rights when discussing the methodology of the project. Further the group took part in a team building exercise in which they were able to  find each others backpacks' and discuss their fears and expectations with the rest of the group. 

The final part of the day consisted of participants completing a city game in which they should complete some tasks, where they wanted to live or study and so on. The next day the qualified trainers from Moldova came to the central topic of such a Training Course was there in Moldova. The participants were informed about HR history, values, principles and generations. With some interesting workshops providing information about what Human Rights were, the participants made a logo, anthem and skills of human rights.

 During  intercultural evenings were presented a variety of national cuisine and a lot of interesting facts and opinions about participant countries - ‘Slovenia is the only country with LOVE in its name’ and that ‘the world cannot exist without Armenians’ when discussing about how Armenians survived, as a nation, a lot of hardships. Later all the participants were able to discover national dances and sketch about participant nations.



During next days the group had many important and astute guests. That guest informed them about her organization and that she was against of recycling. So she was keeping every trash that needed to be recycled and made of it something special. That’s why she gave bottles, papers and other equipments to every participant to create and compose of their own. At the end of that training all participants had something created by themselves.  All that trainings were full of workshops and everyone was energized for the following day’s activities.



In the leisure time the participants were taken to Brainstorm Café and did many youth activities, especially playing variety games related to mind. In that day the participants were given a chance to explore Chisinau and Moldova.
The following day all the participants visited The State Enterprise Quality Wines Industrial Complex "Mileștii Mici". By the way, in August 2005, Mileștii Mici was registered in the Guinness World Records as the biggest wine collection in the world. Overall, the complex holds nearly 2 million bottles. More than 70% of the stored wines are red, 20% are white and about 10% are dessert wines.




In the evening the participants enjoyed the barbecue made by Romanian guy, and had an unforgettable party full of many games and national dances from each country.

The last day of the training course, the participants did the follow-up of the  projects and write down their opinions and comments about the training course. In that evening each of participant put a paper in their back, and the other participants had to write about their feelings, opinions toward that person. It was made to make each participant feel great energy, unforgettable memories and happiness by returning home after that training course.

Thus, on 16 of June all the participants left Moldova full of many memories, happy moments and a great ‘bag” of knowledge about human rights, its context with common and country issues, about decent work and employment in each country.
