17-19 October 2014 the most diligent Youth Time (YT) activists nominated by the YT President to be an exclusive representative of the movement in their region gathered together in Bordeaux (France) to take part in the first Youth Time Ambassador Meeting. Ambassador from Armenia was Tigran Shadunts the president of Serund Pan-Armenian Youth Center.
The main goal of the event was to discuss how YT changed since the moment it was founded and elaborate the plans for the further development of the movement. Vintage wine in the Chateau La Tour Carnet and various socializing activities supplemented the working part of the meeting. As a result of discussions with ambassadors of France, Greece, Austria, Russia, India, Armenia, Croatia, and the USA key strategic documents of Youth Time were refreshed. Official YT representatives approved concrete tasks and their role in the plan of YT development in 2015.
Ambassadors of Bosnia, Egypt and Kosovo also joined them in online collaboration processes.
During the first session 17th October 2014 participants discussed the most significant achievements of YT since 2010 when the idea to found the movement emerged. Julia Kinash,President of Youth Time Movement, presented the key events of YT history and the results achieved.
Participants defined the features of YT and its specific place in the world of NGOs. They were agreed that YT is a dynamic youth-led initiative that empowers, engages and inspires young people from around the world in a powerful and innovative way. The organization provides youth leadership, networking and cross-cultural interaction.
As work output there was provided a short definition of YT: “An international NGO founded by active young people to provide unique opportunities for youth to shape their future, independent of any political or governmental influence”.
Having discussed ambassador’s special responsibilities and privileges participants defined their concrete personal impact and possible partners that can be attracted to develop YT activities in different countries.
